How Does
Unbeatable Rapid Haemostatic Work?
Unbeatable Rapid Haemostatic Dressing is designed to control severe bleeding quickly and effectively. The dressing absorbs water rapidly from the blood. When applied to a bleeding wound, it quickly draws out water, which helps to concentrate the blood's clotting factors at the site of the injury. URHD creates a physical barrier over the wound, helping to seal it and prevent further blood loss. This barrier supports the clot and provides additional stability to the wound site.
PRIMARY HAEMOSTASIS
Unbeatable Rapid Haemostatic Dressing (URHD) has a highly porous structure with a large surface area that can rapidly absorb water. When applied to a bleeding wound, URHD absorbs the liquid component of the blood (plasma), which is about 55% of the blood's volume.
This rapid absorption of water from the blood concentrates cellular components and clotting factors at the wound site, promoting faster clot formation. The absorption creates a gel- like plug, a mechanical barrier that blocks blood flow and provides a scaffold for clot formation.
PLATELET ADHESION AND ACTIVATION
The dehydration and concentration effects of URHD create an environment conducive to the activation of the body's natural clotting cascade.
The exothermic reaction of URHD with water generates heat. This local increase in temperature (average 42C) can help to cauterize small blood vessels, reducing further bleeding and numb the wound.
SECONDARY HAEMOSTASIS
By concentrating platelets and clotting factors, URHD accelerates the formation of a stable fibrin clot quicker than other combat gauze in the market.
URHD releases Ca2+ into blood, thus accelerating the intrinsic pathway of blood coagulation and shortening the clot formation time.
