About
The Unbeatable Rapid Haemostatic Dressing (URHD) is awarded with Best Product Award by Japan NBCR in 2022.
URHD is a special developed compound that has a highly porous structure with a large surface area that can rapidly absorb water. When applied to a bleeding wound, URHD absorbs the liquid component of the blood (plasma), which is about 55% of the blood's volume.
This rapid absorption of water from the blood concentrates cellular components and clotting factors at the wound site, promoting faster clot formation. The absorption creates a gel-like plug, a mechanical barrier that blocks blood flow and provides a scaffold for clot formation.
URHD works independently of the body’s classic coagulation pathway.
URHD granules work – even in challenging cases, including hypothermia and anticoagulation medications, e.g. heparin, warfarin.
URHD is a Class 1 product, and exempted from 510K.
URHD offers three major advantages over current combat gauze:
